Grand Dorsett Labuan Hotel is owned and operated by Kosmopolito Hotels International Limited (KHI). KHI is a fast-growing international developer, owner and operator of value hotels, mid-scale, upscale and boutique hotels and accommodation.

KHI commenced hotel operations in 1998 with the opening of Dorsett Regency Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The group currently owns and operates 10 hotels in Hong Kong, 5 hotels in Malaysia and 2 hotels in China with a combined total of around 4,000 rooms. Currently under development are another 7 hotels in Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

In 2007, the property was acquired and rebranded to Grand Dorsett Labuan Hotel.

Grand Dorsett Labuan Hotel is currently the only 5-star hotel in Labuan with 178 rooms and suites.
